THERE IS MORE… MUCH MORE
DEUTERONOMY 6:10-19

THEME:  For the hearer to know that God wants to  do something far beyond the salvation moment, and beyond the baptismal waters.  He wants us to get up everyday and present our bodies to Him as an offering of obedience.

  1.   When God does something in your life He does it completely!

STATEMENT OF TRUTH:
There are somethings you have that God gave to you!

II.  Many things need to be forgotten but not the Lord!

STATEMENT OF TRUTH:
We are to eat and be full but we are to be careful, and beware, lest we forget the Lord!

III.  In this journey you cannot escape the temptation of idolatry!

There is no where in the Christian life that will be void of other gods who will attempt to be God in your life.

01-04-18ODF Sermon Notes

Much More Week 2
Romans 5:9-10

Theme:  For believers to understand that there is much more that God desires to do with our lives and for our lives.  He does not want to simply save us from Hell but God wants to prepare us for heaven.

  1. There is much more that God has for you
                  A.  Victory is experienced moment by moment.

Statement of Truth:
Jesus died not only for what you have done, but He rose again to live in you, to take the place of what you are.

II.  We have been brought out only to be brought in.

A.  To be in Christ, that is redemption.  For Christ to be in you, that is sanctification.
B.  To be in Christ, that makes you fit for Heaven.  For Christ to be in you, that makes you fit for earth.
C.  To be in Christ, that changes your destination.  For Christ to be in you, that changes your destiny.
D.  To be in Christ, that makes heaven your home.  For Christ to be in you, that makes this world His workshop.

Questions to Consider
  •  If God has dealt with your past the question becomes how are you allowing God to direct your present?  In what ways do you think God is wanting to rearrange your life today?

  • God did not save you and immediately take you to heaven.  Why has He left you here?  What is the “much more” that you sense God is leading you to in 2018?

  •  What choices are you making that is impacting your victory?
