Determine to Depart Differently
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Quotable?  The more we let God take us over, the more true to ourselves we become, because God made us  - C.S. Lewis

Statement of Truth:   It does not matter what you say about the truth you embrace if it is not a testimony you express
What is Paul thankful for?

    • He is giving thanks to God for all of the people at Thessalonica

    • Paul made an impact on them… but they made an impact on him

What Paul Testified To:  {Verse 3}

1.  Work of  Faith

2.  Labor of Love

3.  Patience of
Hope

REMEMBER:
Paul calls these new believers to deeply love one another.  That is the call upon our church also.

We are to forsake all selfishness and become self giving.

Just as the church at Thessalonica was a guide and influence for good and for God in the Macedonia so should Open Door Church be an influence for Good and for God in Red River Parish!
