Thou Shalt Flee Temptation  Part B
Luke 6:46-49

Theme:  If our marriage is built upon Jesus Christ, upon His teachings and words than we learn today that we can stand up in the rain and winds that come.

Statement of Truth:
Being a disciple is more than fine words; it is a whole way of life

Winds that Blow against us:
          ·      The wind of Culture
          ·      The wind of Individualism
          ·      The wind of Tough times
          ·      The wind of Change

Question of Consideration:
It is important to ask the right questions.  The right question is not how to combat the winds and waves, but have I taken time to lay the right foundation?

When laying the right Foundation:
          ·      Relax, you are in God’s plan
          ·      Remember, you have God’s presence
          ·      Rest, you have God’s protection

Statement of Truth:

God’s plan, presence and protection is greater than any problems we might face

HIS STORY AFFECTS OUR RELATIONSHIPS
John 17:20-23
DATE:  July 6, 2014 AM

Statements of Truth:
             ·   The day God saved me He gave me a Saviour and the day God saved me He gave me a family

             ·   Our fellowship together is meant to be a reflection of our eternal fellowship in heaven.

HOW CHRIST LOVE AFFECTS MY RELATIONSHIPS:
            ·   We can learn to love one another so deeply and so richly that we prove to the world we are truly
                     connected to Christ

           ·   We can love the seemingly un-loveable members of our Christ- community in the same way that
Jesus loved us even when we were un-loveable

           ·   Our fellowship together is visible evidence that we have entered the Body of Christ

           ·   Spiritual love does not desire but rather serves
