To Know God

To Know God

Turn to Jeremiah 9:23 and read it.

We have a marvelous prophetic statement about knowing God.  The Bible says in John 17 that eternal life is knowing God!   Is it a big deal to know God?

It sure is!

It is a big deal today, and it will be a big day when we close our eyes on our death day!    Of all the things that one may glory in there is nothing of what we know  in this world that compares to Knowing God!  There is nothing more powerful in all the world than knowing God!  There is nothing more important to possess in all the world or that even compares to Knowing GOD!

Beloved, do not log off until you know that you KNOW GOD!    Knowing God is the most important thing for our lives!

Culture Clash
John 17:14-20

THEME: For the believer to place lasting loyalty in another kingdom; both longing and living for Jesus while in this one under his Lordship

I.  IN BUT NOT OF

ASKING THE HARD QUESTIONS:
Q1?  How can we live in the world and yet not be of the world?
Q2?  How can we engage our culture with the truth of the Gospel without becoming like our culture?
Q3?  How can we affect change in our world without being changed ourselves?
Q4?  How can we offer truth in a meaningful way in a culture where absolute truth is being discarded as an outdated notion without discarding that truth ourselves?

                 A.    NEW CITIZENSHIP

                 B.    IN THE MEANTIME

II. INTENTIONAL INVITATIONS

STATEMENT OF TRUTH:

In the same way, our mission is to help people look more like Jesus, not to help them look like us!
