A. PRIDE
B. PAINFUL
WHAT WAS THE THORN?
Statement of Truth:
Whatever
Thorn we face, it must not become an excuse for us not serving the Lord!
C.
PRINCIPLE
Statements of Truth:
- Our greatest
triumphs are often followed by difficulties
- Christianity
does not exempt one from pain
II. Paul’s TRANSFORMATION Verse 8
Options in dealing with Suffering:
- Become Bitter and Blame the Lord
- Give up and quit
- Ask the Lord for deliverance and accept His answer
NOTE: God has not obligated Himself to
heal every believer whenever they pray, but He has encouraged us to bring our
burdens and needs to Him.
III. Paul’s TESTIMONY
Verse
9-10
Sometimes our “Thorns” are an excuse we use not to serve the Lord, but they
are the very qualifier that God wants to use for His Glory!
