John 8:30-38 + Matthew 13:18-19

Great Question:  ARE YOU SAVED?

Intro of Matthew 13:18-19

·      The Stony soil    {Saved or Unsaved?}

·      The Thorny soil  {Saved or Unsaved?}

·      The Good soil     {Saved or Unsaved?}

I.               MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE IN JESUS

Statement of Truth:  

Profession does not equal conversion.

Statement of Truth:

Salvation is an eternal matter.  Therefore, it matters eternally!

Statement of Truth:

If my faith has not changed me it has not saved me. 

II.             GENUINE DISCIPLES ABIDE IN JESUS

Evidence Number 1:  Abide in the Words of Jesus

Statement of Truth:

Salvation happens at a moment in time, but it is demonstrated over time
