1 Peter 2:11-12
Theme: That the follower of Jesus Christ would commit themselves to live godly lives as the single most effective advertisement for making the gospel attractive to others.
Peter’s challenge is pointing in 2 different directions.
- Peter is after the scandalous conduct of so-called Christians that provides fuel for the critics and skeptics vicious accusations.
- Peter wants the reader to understand that the godliness of true Christians does the most to silence Christianity’s opponents.
