We Win!
Isaiah 54:17

Theme:  All God's promises are experienced in Jesus Christ.

Statement of Truth:  Jesus is the Christian life. 


Promise Number 5:  I will not fail, for God is Victorious. 

  1. No weapon formed against you will prosper. 
      1. A weapon means anything,  anyone would use against  you.
  2. No weapon formed against you will prosper. 
      1. God fights for us.
  3. No weapon formed against you will prosper. 
      1. God’s protection fights wickedness.
  4. No weapon formed against you will prosper
      1. It won't win with finality. It may win the battle but it won't win the war.
  5. “ You will refute every tongue that accuses you”
      1. If opposition rises up against you for the sake of the Gospel you will have an opportunity to set the record straight.

  1. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me.
      1. It is by the power of God and for His Glory


ESV Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.   The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

God is Victorious
2 Corinthians 1:20 + Revelation 19:11-16


A Theology of Promise:
God is a Promisor.
God keeps His promise.
God wants us to test His promises.
God's promises are activated by faith.
God’s promises are experienced in Jesus Christ.


The Promises of God:
1. I will not fear, for God is always with me.
2. I will not doubt,  for God is always in control.
3. I will not despair, for God is always good.
4. I will not falter, for God is always watching.
5. I will not fail for God is always victorious!


Statement of Truth:
God has made no provision for you to live the Christian life.  Jesus is the Christian life.

Failing Without Faltering  
Isaiah 43:1-5 + Daniel 3

Theme: That the child of God would live in the confident truth that we are precious and loved by God.

Promise #4:  I will not falter, for God is watching.  

Statement of Truth:
The promises of God will cause you to live in complete confidence.

Statement of Truth:
The promises of God will cause you to live in complete surrender.

Wrong Views of God’s Watching:
1. God watches us like a resentful parent. 
2.  God watches us like a hawk.
3.  God watches us like the legalistic church goer. 
4. God watches us like a suspicious spouse.
5.  God watches us like the cranky boss.

Right Views of God’s Watching:
1.      The eyes of the Lord are inescapable
2.     The eyes of the Lord are synonymous with what's right and true.
3.     The eyes of the Lord are focused upon and attentive to his own.

4.     The eyes of the Lord are provoked to grace when he observes a righteous person.

Trusting A God Who is Watching
Titus 1:1-3 + Isaiah 43:1-3


The Promises of God: {Brief Review}
1.     I will not fear, God is always with me.
2.    I will not doubt, God is always in control.
3.    I will not despair, God is always good.

A Theology of Promise:
·     God is a Promisor.
·      God keeps His promise.
·      God wants us to test His promises.
·     God's promises are activated by faith.

Question to Consider:
How do you activate these promises for yourself?   
1.      You have to see it!    
2.     You have to savor it!
3.     You have to share it!


Statement of Truth:
We can fail without faltering if we will return to Jesus for strength! 

Promise Number 4:  
I will not falter, for God is watching.

Theme:God is always good, always!

Three Accelerants to Despair:
            First:  Surprise

            Second: Severe

            Third: Settled

Questions to Consider:
1.      How do we handledespair?
a.     Beliefand Trust
b.    Tasteand See

2.    What is the goodnessof the Lord?
a.     God’s goodness is something He wants us to experience.  {Psalm 34:8}
b.    God’s goodness is the eventual conclusionof everygeneration.   {Psalm 100:5}
c.     God’s goodness is presentin everythinghe does. {Psalm 145:9}
d.    God’s goodness is not always immediatelyapparent.  (but it is there).  {Lamentations 3:25}

e.     God’s goodness is a refuge.  {Nahum 1:7}

Difficult circumstances and experiences can push God`s children further toward the deep, dark pit of despair.  And while Satan wants to destroy us, God wants us to come to a place where we have to rest on His extraordinary promises. Today we will learn that God is a great promise maker and a promise keeper.



God is Always Good  
Hebrews 6:17-18


Theme:God is always good, always!


Statement of Truth:
Every time you testthe promises of God, God will provehimself faithful.


Statement of Truth:
My life is a proofof the promises of God’s word. 


WHAT ARE THESE PROMISES?
Number One: I will not fearbecause God is withme. 
Deuteronomy 31:6

Second:  I will not doubtbecause God is in control
Proverbs 3:5-6

            Third:I will not despairbecause God is always good.


ACCELERANTS TO DESPAIR:
            First:  Surprise

            Second: Severe

            Third: Settled




Keynote:  The promise of God’s goodness combats the problem of my despair.

God is Always in Control   {Part B}
Proverbs 3:5-6

Theme:  We will not doubt, for God is in Control.

Promise Number 2:  Because God is in control, I will not doubt!

THREE RESOLUTIONS TO MAKE:
1.   I will trust in the Lord {with all my heart}
·      Doubt is the soil that fear grows in.  
{Luke 24:36-38}
·      Doubt is the seed of emotional weeds and thorns.  {James 1:6}
·      Doubt is the direct result of taking our eyes off the Lord.  {Matthew 14:28-32}

2.  I will not lean on my understanding
·      It is not bad to know some things
·      What we know is not the problem or the solution


3.  I will acknowledge Him In all my ways
                   Acknowledge Him:
·      In our finances
·      In our family
·      Or in anything else…


The Promise: God will make straight your path
