The Truth About Hell   {Part A}

Luke 16: 19-31

Question to Consider:  What is Hell? 

Definitions:

·      Historically the church has understood Hell to be a place of eternal, conscious torment for the wicked

·      Hell is eternal torment for the unrepentant 

Hell will be populated by these three groups:

1.  Satan & his demons

2.  Those who have never embraced Jesus

3.  Those who think they have repented but they  had not

Question to Consider:  What is the purpose of Hell?

            ·      It is a place of wrath

Three Witnesses of God:

           ·      The voice of creation 

           ·      The voice of conscience

           ·      The voice of God’s Words

Question to Consider: What terms are used to describe Hell?

           ·      Hades

           ·      Gehenna
