The Discipline of Serving {Part II}

The Discipline of Serving {part 2}
John 13:1-20

Theme:   If you are feeling burnt out in ministry, you are missing out. Ministry should flow from our passion to serve Christ, and should be empowered with God`s love and grace. Today we seek to learn how to receive blessings from Christ and pass them on to others through faithful service.

Definition of Faithfulness::
Constant in the performance of duty.

We Must Serve Faithfully

I.       Faithfulness is expected even when my schedule is full

II.      Faithfulness is expected even if I want to quit

III.     Faithfulness is expected even when my heart is
               breaking

IV.     We  must serve faithfully even when we serve
    in silence

V.      Faithfulness is found in humility

VI.    Faithfulness is best when mutual commitment

                is present between other believers

VII.  Faithfulness is found in immediate obedience

Revival Reality:
 YOU ARE NEVER TO BUSY TO SERVE!

Quotable?
“Christian service means invading a battleground, not a playground; and you and I are the weapons God uses to attack and defeat the enemy.   When God used Moses’ rod, He needed Moses’ hand to lift it. When God used David’s sling, He needed David’s hand to swing it. When God builds a ministry, He needs somebody’s surrendered body to get the job done.   You are important to the Lord, so keep your life pure.”
